ATV Insurance

Call to speak with our agents, we will help you find the ideal Home Insurance.

ATV insurance provides financial protection against physical damage, bodily injury, and liability resulting from operating an all-terrain vehicle. While not always legally required for riding on private land, this coverage is often mandatory for public trails and essential for shielding owners from significant out-of-pocket costs in the event of an accident or theft.

What is ATV insurance and why do I need it ?

  • Bodily Injury & Property Damage Liability: Pays for injuries to others or damage to their property if you cause an accident.

  • Collision: Covers repairs to your ATV if you hit another vehicle or object (like a tree or fence).

  • Comprehensive: Covers non-collision damage to your ATV, such as theft, fire, vandalism, or falling objects.

  • Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist: Protects you if you are hit by another rider who lacks sufficient insurance coverage.

  • Medical Payments: Helps pay for medical bills for you and your passengers, regardless of who was at fault.

ATV insurance typically will not provide coverage:

  • Competitive Racing: Damage or injury occurring while participating in organized races or stunts.

  • Public Roads: Accidents that happen while riding on highways or main roads (unless explicitly permitted by local law and policy).

  • Unapproved Passengers: Claims resulting from carrying a passenger on an ATV designed for only one rider.

  • Commercial Use: Using your ATV for business purposes (e.g., farming, deliveries) without a commercial policy.

  • Intentional Acts: Damage you inflict on your own vehicle or cause on purpose.

  • Wear and Tear: Standard maintenance issues like tire wear, battery failure, or mechanical breakdowns.
